The Turelli Method
A Collaborative Approach to Resolving Parenting Disputes
The Turelli Method is a structured way to solve parenting disputes. Sessions are held at the courthouse with both parents and a volunteer panel in the same room for up to 3 hours. Agreements reached are submitted to the Court that same day, otherwise the case continues.
Dual Professionals
A mental health professional and a legal professional (one woman and one man) volunteer to co-lead each session and address both emotional and legal aspects.
Parents Participate
Parents speak for themselves without lawyers, keep the focus on their children, and learn problem-solving skills they can reuse.
Parenting Conflicts
We address parenting time and decision-making disputes, schedule changes when a child starts school, relocation, re-entry of a parent, and extra-curricular activities.
THE LEGACY
The Legacy of Richard Turelli
Richard Turelli believed that divorce didn't have to mean destruction. As the visionary founder of our foundation, he dedicated his life to transforming legal conflict into collaborative resolution. Richard’s pioneering approach brought together mediators and lawyers to advocate for parents, ensuring that every family could find a path toward their common goals with dignity, clarity, and compassion.
A Legacy Project for Balanced Resolution
The Turelli Foundation honors the vision of Richard Turelli by offering a compassionate, structured approach to pro se divorce. We believe that clarity is the foundation of peace. By integrating the neutral expertise of a mediator with specialized legal guidance, we ensure that parents have the accurate information and emotional support needed to reach sustainable agreements.
Our collaborative model is designed to navigate the most complex parental issues through transparent dialogue. Rather than a purely adversarial process, we work side-by-side with families to identify shared interests and create balanced solutions. This methodology preserves the dignity of both parents while placing the long-term well-being and stability of their children at the heart of every decision.
